We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Projects Officer to join our close-knit Projects Team on a 2-year fixed term contract.

The Projects Officer will be responsible for the delivery of projects both internal and projects awarded via external funding and manage all elements of the project from the initiation phase through to project completion and evaluation. The successful candidate will take an active role in ensuring cross college stakeholder engagement is achieved.

 

This is a rewarding role, where you will work closely with the senior management team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the specified quality.

 

FTE – Full-Time

Contract Type – Fixed Term (2 Years)

Salary - £28,736 - £30,476

Location – David Hockney Building/Remote

 

Responsibilities include:

 

*       Providing Project Support on projects as directed by the Projects Office Team Leader

*       Supporting the Executive in the implementation of corporate strategies and projectsAct as the first point contact for projects and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders through clear, effective and timely communications.

*       Establishing, facilitate and administer cross-college strategic project teams.

*       Ensuring the team’s key performance indicators are met and strive to exceed.

*       Representing the college on working groups where required.

*       Contributing  to the Projects Office profile by ensuring networking and promotional activities are undertaken.

 

Hybrid working is negotiable for this role.

Education & Training

 

*       GCSE A*- C or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English and/or relevant experience.

*       A Level 3 Qualification

*       A Project Management qualification is desirable but not essential

 

Experience

 

*            Experience of Project Management in a large organisation, preferably public sector

*            Operational experience of costing and pricing

*            Experience of Construction Management

*            Knowledge/experience of Contract Management
