Bradford College’s Construction and Engineering department is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative new Enhancement & Engagement Co-ordinator.
The purpose of this post is to develop curriculum enhancement activities working in conjunction with the curriculum teams.
The post holder will also build a strong reputation of the services provided by Bradford college within the local community. This would include liaising with employers, schools, community to service their needs.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence and persuade change, well-developed administrative skills and a constructive and collaborative approach to teamwork. They will be ambitious to achieve excellence for students and committed to developing an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities include:
Identify, develop, and implement new and innovative approaches towards enhancement of curriculum
Work with curriculum area teams and Tutorial Interventions Officers to ensure that each programme has an employer-related project / activity focusing on skills development relevant to the industry
Facilitate and co-ordinate the learning environment spaces working with the curriculum teams, students and employers
Lead on skills competitions and challenges within the department
To develop new opportunities through development of networks and actively engaging with employers and community
Deliver on enhancement targets as agreed by the Head of Department
Develop and maintain social media presence to promote the curriculum and commercial service offered within the department
To participate in the maintenance and promotion of close links with employers
Contribute to course development and the development of new programmes of study demonstrating an inclusive and collaborative approach to delivery
Contribute to outreach and/or widening participation activity within the department
Report progress of curriculum engagement activities to SPLs and mangers. Use Navigate as a tool to capture students’ learning and experiences
Pro-actively contribute to the success and vision of the department
To be responsible for student discipline, counselling and guidance related to all assigned sessions/activities
To ensure the student voice informs curriculum design (NSS/Student council/SOCS etc)
Lead on completion of student perception surveys
To lead on the student rep and student voice conferences

Education & Training
- A L3 qualification
- GCSE 4-9 (A*-c) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in maths or equivalent (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A-C)
- GCSE 4-9 (A*-c) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A-C)
Experience
- Experience of working with college students aged 16-19
- Experience of working in a target environment and able to demonstrate results
- Excellent IT skills including familiarity with a range of social media platforms
- Experience of working collaboratively in a large and diverse team
- Ability to work effectively, independently with a proactive mindset
- Ability to prioritise, schedule and monitor tasks to completion
