Bradford College is seeking to appoint a Senior Events Executive, a new role created within the Marketing Team, and wider Student Recruitment Team.

The Senior Events Executive will plan, project manage and deliver an annual calendar of events to support the recruitment of students to the College and to support the College’s aims and objectives. The post holder will work to planned budgets and deadlines, ensuring high-quality student recruitment events are delivered with a demonstrable, positive impact on the college’s student recruitment targets.

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised, collaborative and self- motivated Senior Events Executive with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships to lead and shape the delivery of student recruitment events.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan, project manage and deliver an annual calendar of events on behalf of Bradford College aimed at students, staff and stakeholders.
  • Lead projects with multiple partners (internal, external and across campus) starting with the initial brief through to execution and debrief
  • Deliver events to a high standard – focussing on attention to detail to ensure that each event is impactful, runs smoothly and delivers the agreed targets/ KPIs
  • Liaise with the marketing team to provide details of these events so that they can be promoted effectively and in good time
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that all event objectives align with business and strategic priorities
  • Work across departments including marketing, engagement and admissions to ensure that website, communications, event bookings, conversions and customer service are working together
  • Work with internal support departments such as estates, catering, IT support, media and Health & Safety to ensure the event is fully supported to the highest standards
  • Organise, plan and deliver internal briefings
  • Liaise with external suppliers such as venues, hotels, AV companies, entertainment in line with budget
  • Work with internal departments to gather support for all events
  • Track expenditure for each event, liaising with the budget holder where required
  • Collect appropriate data (including attendee lists, attendee breakdowns) and provide post-event reports to relevant stakeholders to demonstrate impact and value for money
  • Where relevant, secure sponsorship and commercial opportunities and build effective external and internal relationships across the College, its stakeholders
  • Assess the business value of an event and make recommendations on suitability where appropriate
  • Build the College’s reputation locally and regionally by ensuring events are commercially or reputationally viable and aligned with business outcomes or student recruitment outcomes and that departments are committed to the delivery.

Education & Training

  • Degree, Diploma or HND in Event Management or relevant industry experience
  • Customer Service Qualification
  • GCSE 5 – 9 (A*-C) or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths
  • GCSE 5 - 9 (A*-C) or equivalent level 2 qualification in English

Experience

 

*       Experience of managing events

*       Experience in organising a variety of events with varying objectives, small-scale to large scale

*       Liaising with internal departments and building relationships at varying levels of seniority

*       Liaising and negotiating with external suppliers
