Our exceptional Student Services department are looking for a Trainee Work Experience Officer to join the team and gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
As a Trainee Work Experience Officer at Bradford College, you will learn how to work directly with students to support, manage and monitor all work experience activity. You will be supported to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to build and maintain relationships with local employers, businesses and industry partners that will benefit our students.
Responsibilities include:
Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by meeting all apprenticeship milestones and completing the apprenticeship programme to industry standards.
To support students to plan, source and complete their work experience hours
Support the Work Experience Officers to build and maintain strong relationships with local employers, businesses, and industry partners to secure quality work placements that align with students’ career aspirations and course requirements
Shadow senior members of the team in prospecting new employer partners through networking, cold outreach activities, and attendance at industry network events.
Assist in matching students with appropriate work experience opportunities based on their skills, interests, and career goals
Assist in the coordination of placement logistics including start dates, working arrangements, supervision requirements, and health and safety protocols.
Assist in preparing students for work experience through pre-placement briefings, skills assessments, CV development, interview preparation and work place readiness training.
Maintain contact with both students and employers during the placements to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
Participate in accurately recording and producing reports on the Work Experience Management System
To participate in the evaluation process, reviewing the quality and impact of work experience and utilising this for future development

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
Eligible to undertake an apprenticeship in the Uk
Experience
Willingness to complete a Business Admin Apprenticeship.
Willingness to learn how to use a database/CRM system
Understanding and ability to utilise IT for administrative purposes.
