We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join the college as the Head of IT and Learning Technologies. The successful candidate will lead the college’s IT & Audio Visual department.

This is an extremely rewarding role where you will be responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of IT Services across Bradford College.

 

This role is responsible for agreeing and achieving targets in relation to EDI, curriculum planning, quality, finance, people and corporate services.

 

The Head of IT and Learning Technologies will ensure an outstanding service is available for all staff and students who access the College Digital Estate.

 

Please Note - The salary band for this role includes a market supplement which may be offered to the successful candidate in relation to experience and will be reviewed on an annual basis.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement the Bradford College vision for an outstanding service aligned to the College Strategic Plan
  • To advise the Senior Leadership Team on progress against digital objectives, advances in digital technology and relevant opportunities/threats.
  • Implement and maintain industry standard Cyber Security Plans
  • Support curriculum and service areas in the delivery of the College strategy, strategic action plans and departmental business plans.
  • To work with the Head of Learning, Development & Innovation to support the development of digital pedagogy, encouraging digital innovation in teaching, learning and assessment and providing an excellent student and staff experience
  • Ensure the departmental Risk Register is relevant, accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure departmental procedures are in date and relevant.
  • Implement College policies on Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Define and deliver the departmental budget.
  • Identify and monitor resource requirements to maintain and improve the IT infrastructure across the College.
  • Manage the performance of all staff within the department.
  • Lead the IT Team to collaborate with academic and support staff to implement and continuously review the needs of staff and students.

Education & Training

  • Relevant IT/Cyber Security Qualification.
  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent in Maths, or a willingness to work towards this within a given time frame.
  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent in English, or a willingness to work towards this within a given time frame.

Experience

  • Line management experience in a technical environment.
  • Significant experience of working in an IT environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of current Cyber Security threats and mitigations.
  • Significant technical skills across a variety of different infrastructure, network and security technologies
