We have a fantastic opportunity for an organised and methodical ILR and Audit Officer to join our Data, Funding and Exams Department.

Reporting to the Head of Data, Funding & Exams, the successful applicant will prepare and cleanse the College’s ILR Returns in preparation to be submitted on a monthly basis in accordance with government scheduling of Funding submissions, and support colleagues with interpreting funding rules regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparation of the college ILR return

  • Assist in the regular running, analysis and cleansing of the College’s funding claim.

  • Ensure completion of analysis and validation checks using internal and external tools (FIS/OFS) to a regular schedule

  • Liaising with College Support, Tutoring and Lecturing staff regarding the enrolment and amendment function promoting accuracy and timeliness.

  • To support colleagues with HE Returns.

  • To assist the Head of Department- Data, Funding & Exams in preparing for Audits by overseeing regular sample checks on MIS standing data.

  • Ensure PDSAT and FRM queries are identified and resolved.

  • Assist in the cleansing of the funding file ensuring timely completion and submission of the funding claim to external organisation.

  • Run internal data checking routines to ensure data is accurate and clean, and funding is maximised.

  • Resolve any queries arising from this work, liaising with curriculum staff to eliminate discrepancies as necessary.

  • Produce and review reports. Make any necessary data corrections to ensure data meets audit requirements and funding claims are maximised

Education & Training

  • GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

  • GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience

  • Experience of working with Further Education data returns.

  • Experience of working with a computerised record system.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
