We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our exceptional Construction department where you will oversee the delivery of the Adult Skills Academy curriculum project.
Within this role you will ensure that the curriculum project meets the needs of students, the business and the community and that students receive an outstanding learning experience whilst ensuring quality, recruitment, staffing and financial targets are met. As a manager leading a curriculum project, you will provide inspirational leadership for staff and students and embed our values: Trustworthiness, Inclusivity & Excellence.
Please note that this is a Fixed Term position for a period of 12 months and will be for an immediate start.

Responsibilities include:
Providing Project management on a specific project as directed by the Head of Department
Act as the first point contact for the project and maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders through clear, effective and timely communications.
To ensure the team’s key performance indicators are met and strive to exceed.
Management of project programmes, budgets and the quality of projects against expectations, funding submissions and grant conditions
To work with the College Projects Team and College Finance team to monitor project spend
Completion of detailed and accurate monitoring returns, working with the College Projects Team.
Assist with tendering processes where required in accordance with our procurement policy
To be responsible for the planning and management of the performance of all courses within the Curriculum project. This includes but is not limited to:
Maximising student enrolment
Ensuring overall outstanding quality of the provision through quality interventions and support, staff appraisals, AWAMs and curriculum-related staff development;
Ensuring that targets and KPIs for attendance, retention, attainment, performance measures (including value-added), destinations and internal progression within the specified project including English and Maths, are met
Ensure that student satisfaction benchmarks are met throughout the duration of the project;
Ensure equality and diversity targets are embedded within the curriculum project.
Contributing to the self-assessment process at all levels
To ensure full compliance first time with all College procedures and systems and report on these via KPIs. To ensure appropriate records, registers, staff and student timetables are maintained and available as required by internal management information systems and external audit regimes.
To liaise with the Head of Department in construction and projects to ensure the curriculum project budget is allocated and deployed efficiently and effectively; provide course costings and information relating to resources, ensuring that a quality experience for students and appropriate working resources and development are in place for staff.
To support the Head of the Department in the planning, innovation, design and development of the curriculum project and cross-college marketing activities.
To manage within the curriculum project the guidance, selection, admission and progression of students and deal with matters relating to their performance, achievement, conduct and discipline as well as complaints.

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
