We have a fantastic opportunity to join our exceptional Student Support department as a Student Funding Specialist.
The Student Funding Specialist is responsible for assisting eligible students in securing financial support and to help navigate the various funding options available to them.
This position will work closely with students, parents and relevant curriculum areas to ensure students receive the financial support necessary to support their education.
Responsibilities include:
Stay up to date with all student funding bursary and loan regulations, policies and procedures to support Student Funding Officers to ensure compliance when processing applications and awarding funds.
Support the Student Funding Team Leader to ensure accurate policies and procedures are in place for Bradford College to administer and advise students and stakeholders of the entitlements and funding available from college and through other funding sources such as SFE and national charitable grants.
Working with the Student Funding Team Leader to promote and give advice and guidance to all stakeholders in relation to student funding support available for both FE and HE students. Ensuring accurate marketing and promotion to advise student entitlement and application processes are clear.
Work collaboratively with other college departments to support distribution of specialist HE bursaries ensuring compliancy with individual regulations. Facilitating payments and informing students of payment schedules (including SKE, FE, ITE and PGCE)
Ensuring Robust monitoring, tracking and recording of all bursary payments to ensure compliancy and that accurate information is available for reporting, audit and Quality Assurance purposes specific reporting duties to SFE and DFE.
Support the HE Fees process: Ensuring compliancy - amending fees when students withdraw, transfer or suspend studies including informing the student of financial implications, SFE of changes which will impact loans and College Finance Team to inform college budget monitoring and recuperation of funds.

Education & Training
GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale

Experience
Experience of working in an education setting – specifically related to Student Funding/Finance processes.
Experience in an administrative role.
Experience of delivering high standards of customer service in a pressured environment
Experience of providing information and advice to a wide range of people.
Experience of assessing information against set criteria.
Experience of using spreadsheets and databases.
Experience of working with a diverse range of people
